Things got a little crazy at work this morning. A little while after I got there we found a scorpion in my dad’s office! AAaaaahhh! It looked dead and almost unreal but when we poked it with a broom handle the tail instantly started to strike. The broom handle ended up being his demise.

Evil Scorpion
After the scorpion incident, we had fax machine problems and so I was running fax tests between our office and the office next door to try to figure out what the heck was going on. Luckily, my sweet hubby Ben found the manual for our machine online and as it turns out our gigantic problem was fixed by pressing ONE button! Office life <sigh>.
So for breakfast I had a pice of leftover zuchinni bread from last week and half of an almond butter stuffed banana.

We had Jason’s Deli for lunch and so my dad and I ate outside on a picnic table.

My plate
Today is my brother-in-law Jesse’s 21st Birthday! He is in the Marine reserves and just got back from jungle training in Malaysia. To celebrate his return and birthday we ate dinner at PF Chang’s.
I really enjoy Chinese food but the menu here was nothing but meat! Honestly, I’ve had way more than my share of animal protien lately but there wasn’t much else to choose from here. I ordered the Mongolian Beef with scallops and am looking forward to treating myself to a gigantic salad tomorrow.

A Beefy Plate
Ben had some kind of stewed shrimp thing with cooked eggs.

The table that we were seated at was directly under the vent and so I was shivering. I ordered hot Oolong tea. The tea came in an awesome tea pot that kept the heat in really well. By the end of my dinner I still had hot tea left.

For dessert, Jesse’s best friend Nick bought everyone The Great Wall Cake.

The Great Wall
This cake was sinfully delicious. It was a dark rich chocolate flavor surrounded by raspberry sauce and sliced strawberries. Mmmmm mm m. Everyone got a little sliver.

you’re such a pam with your copiers and fax machines
