What would Brian Boitano do, if he were here right now? He'd make a plan and he'd follow through, that's what Brian Boitano'd do!

Wine never tasted so good!

Eating after 15 hours: Provolone, Avocado, Bacon, Sauce, Tomato and Pastrami Cubano with Mango-Chili jam

Destruction.

Macarones from Pix Patisserie: pistachio, straberry, blueberry, coconut-rum. Fantastic!

Portland Wildlife

Peach-Cherry Old Fasioned at Pok Pok. Sadly the food pictures didn't turn out. But I ate boar! And duck! And it was fabulous.

Vista House at the Columbia River Gorge. Needless to say it was windy.

I made Jonathan eat an apple before he could have ice cream. Notice the shirt.
Okay…so…Wordpress isn’t letting me upload my vertical shots of Multnomah falls–sorry!
We are staying at Bluebird Guesthouse. It’s really wonderful. I recommend it.
We’ve eaten at Hedgerow Brewery, Pok Pok, Pix Patisserie and Marrakesh. All have been…just indescribably good. Hedgerow Brewery made excellent sandwiches and served great beer; Pix made those marvelous Macarones that we’ve been back twice now for, Pok Pok…well…I ate boar collar meat and duck and all with my hands; Finally, Marrakesh: tasty Moroccan, served on the floor and eaten with your hands.
So…Yes. Jonathan and I have said that you could come to Portland and stay for a week and not be bored. Really. We’re already planning on coming back (…or…not leaving!).
Oh, and the most ironic moment of my life? If you know me, then you know that I am a HEEUUUGE bookworm. Biggest. I read all the time. Portland has the largest bookstore in the world–Powell’s. I was able to spend a whopping 10 minutes in there. Ten. I smiled as we entered and Jonathan asked, “Are you smiling because this is ironic?” And I answered, “Yes. This is the most ironic moment of my life.”

That sandwich? Amazing.
Waterfalls? Seriously awesome.
THE LARGEST BOOKSTORE IN THE WORLD?!?!
