BBQ and thunderstorms
Last night was amazing! Wow. I love friends + food + thunderstorms.
We grilled with a group of friends, per usual on Thursday nights. The group is our “Office” watching party, and since we’re kind of bereft that the season ended we’ve taken to grilling to ease our pain…
Jonathan got one of his favorites, salmon:

Salmon with honey, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper
Yummy sides….

Edamame Salad

Watermelon...sooooooo delicious.
My plate, plus a bite of sausage not shown:

Watermelon, cornbread, edamame salad, collards, Food Should Taste Good chips
Yum!
As we all ate (there was also chicken and veggie kabobs) purple clouds started to pile up and the breeze grew stronger. The boys wanted to play volleyball, but low and behold—is that? Can it be? Lightening?
If you don’t live in Austin you might not be able to understand the giddiness that comes over an Austinite when any hint of rain blows our way. For the past three years (or more?) we’ve been in severe drought so any rain is cause for celebration.
(So, I have a video that I’m going to post…but I’m figuring the whole YouTube thing out. Apparently it’s “processing” my video and has been for about 30 minutes? Any ideas?)
