Ah, the Glory-mester. I am officially 14 weeks, folks, and that means that the second trimester has officially begun. Everything they say about it is true: I have more energy, less (intense) mood swings, nausea is decreasing and leafy greens look…well, appetizing. Not…nauseating. Hooray!
Eats around here have been blessedly simple. I’m learning that for food [...]

Hello all! It’s been almost a month and a lot of cool things have been happening. Jonathan and I purchased a house–yay!—and are now trying to find a subletter for our apartment. We are moving mid-February. I am also done with my part-time job so now I am writing full time. It’s exciting and surprisingly [...]

…the mice will watch tragic Scottish movies and read even more tragic Scottish novels…
Seriously, have you people read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon? Outlander, the first novel, is my favorite book ever. The rest of the series will make you laugh, cry, rage and generally tear your guts out. Jamie and Claire, the main [...]

Ah! This is the first weekend Jonathan and I have had a home, doing nothing, for over two months. Wooooow. For two introverts it was quite taxing! This is the weekend break we get before another onslaught: yoga teacher training weekends, weddings, showers, girls nights, and then–our year anniversary! We’ll be marriage toddlers then [...]

Hello! Wow, what a weekend. First of all, Jonathan and I visited Stonehenge..
Okay, so actually it’s “Stonehenge II”, outside of Hunt, Texas.
We had a fun weekend! We went to Mo Ranch, a campground on the Guadalupe River in the Hill Country. Very beautiful. We hung out with the families, both sides, hiked, swam and ate. [...]

Last night was amazing! Wow. I love friends + food + thunderstorms.
We grilled with a group of friends, per usual on Thursday nights. The group is our “Office” watching party, and since we’re kind of bereft that the season ended we’ve taken to grilling to ease our pain…
Jonathan got one of his favorites, salmon:
Yummy sides….
My [...]
